The AI-SelfPortraitCollector is a longterm project and experiment. It is designed to examine how artificial intelligence sees, mirrors and even reflects on itself. The longterm project duration aims to see how the self depiction of artificial intelligence will change in the course of time – whether it will be because of growing data resources, changing learning skills or some kind of self awareness.
The AI-SelfPortraitCollector will draw a self portrait using the Stable Diffusion text-to-image model on a weekly basis (Mondays, 12:00 am CET) using "Artificial Intelligence" for prompting.
As a side effect the AI-SelfPortraitCollector also shows how the use of human expressions of art by artificial intelligence will develop.
The AI-SelfPortraitCollector was programmed and designed and is run by Frank Dietrich aka Zechnik Himmelfaart and Oliver Schmidt aka Codejet.
Frank Dietrich (Zechnik Himmelfaart) *1974 in Stuttgart is a conceptional artist and cultur manager who lives and works in Eschach and Stuttgart.
Oliver Schmidt (Codejet) is an experienced front-end engineer, who works and has worked for well-known internet companies. He lives and works in Berlin.
